Build a practice on your terms.
A tele-therapy marketplace built for both sides of the couch. You set your rates, your caseload, and your boundaries — we handle the platform.
Our portal is in a brief migration window — we will personally reach out within a few business days.
Founding therapists pay 5%.
Most platforms in this category charge therapists 20 to 40 percent of what they earn. We don’t.
What you get
- Your rate. You set your hourly fee. We don’t set it; we don’t suggest it.
- Your caseload. You accept or decline every session request.
- Your hours. You manage your own availability. No required minimums.
- Your relationship. Clients you bring on emotilink stay your clients. If you ever leave the platform, they go with you.
- Your modality. We don’t dictate how you practice. EMDR, IFS, CBT, ACT, psychodynamic, integrative — whatever you do, you do.
What we are not
- An employer. You’re not a 1099 contractor with a quota. You’re a licensed professional running your own practice on our platform.
- A matching algorithm. Clients browse the directory and choose you. We don’t pick for them, and we don’t pick for you.
- A subscription model. No monthly platform fee. Founding therapists pay 5% on completed sessions.
- The other guys. We are explicitly the alternative. No platform-side messaging requirements, no daily-engagement targets, no AI tools mediating clinical work.
Who emotilink is built for
A few patterns we see in the therapists who fit best on the platform.
Building from the start.
You’re finishing your hours and figuring out where to land. Joining a marketplace platform on day one means building your practice with the most favorable economics in the category. Founding therapists pay 5%.
Test-driving private practice.
You’re licensed but employed in a non-clinical role. emotilink is a way to take on a few clients without leaving your day job — set your hours, set your rate, build at the pace that fits your life.
Burned out on the agency model.
You see too many clients for too little, and the institution gets between you and the work. Here, you set your caseload, your fees, and your boundaries — and we are explicitly not the other guys.
Looking for a way out of the cog model.
You’re tired of being a cog in someone else’s machine. On emotilink, founding therapists pay 5%, you keep your client relationship, and we don’t dictate how you practice or how often you have to message someone.
Less volume, same craft.
You want fewer clients without losing your skill or your income per hour. emotilink works at lower volume — the economics make sense even when you’re not maxed out.
Re-entering after time away.
You stepped back, and now you’re stepping forward. We make finding clients straightforward; you make the clinical decisions. Return on your terms.

A note from Vanessa

I’m a practicing physician and psychiatrist. I co-founded emotilink because I’ve watched the same broken system fail both sides of the couch.
We have all seen the overhead rates that pushed talented therapists off marketplace platforms, the flawed matching algorithms that have landed patients with the wrong clinicians, and the companies that have treated their clinical workforce like replaceable 1099 inventory. The platforms in this category have not been honest about what good, high quality care requires.
We designed a platform that I would want to practice on, and emotilink is the platform that I want my colleagues to practice on. Our founding therapists pay a 5% fee, and keep their relationships with their clients. We don’t tell you how to do the work, and we don’t want to.
If this sounds like what you’ve been looking for, then I would love to hear from you.

Frequently asked
What states does emotilink operate in?
All 50 states. You self-select the states you’re licensed in and willing to practice in. We don’t restrict to a subset of states — that’s your call.
How does the 5% work, exactly?
Founding therapists pay 5% of the session fee on completed sessions. No monthly platform fee. No minimum volume. No setup cost.
How long does the founding-therapist rate stay in effect?
It stays with you as long as you’re an active provider on the platform. The “founding cohort” is a moment in the company’s life; if you’re in it, you’re in it.
Who owns the client relationship?
You do. If you ever leave the platform, your clients go with you. We’re a marketplace, not a directory we own — your relationship is yours.
What happens if a client cancels late or no-shows?
We have a cancellation policy that protects your reserved time. Clients who cancel inside the fair-notice window pay a partial fee (50% of the quoted price). If you’re unsure how it applies to a specific case, we’ll work it out with you.
Do I have to follow a specific clinical methodology?
No. emotilink is explicitly not the other guys. We don’t dictate modality, we don’t track session content, we don’t push productivity metrics. You practice the way you practice.
How does emotilink compare to other marketplace platforms?
Three structural differences: (1) you set your rate, not the platform; (2) our fee is 5% for founding therapists vs. 20-40% standard; (3) you keep the client relationship if you leave. We are a conduit, not an employer.
I’m not licensed yet but I’m finishing hours / training. Can I apply?
Currently, emotilink requires verifiable state licensure to practice on the platform. Once you have it, we’d love to hear from you.
Ready to apply?
